Step 1 • Property Setup

Create a property profile. It’s your launchpad.

Lay the foundation for everything inside PropertyHero in just a few minutes.
Before you can track rooms, assets, or documents, you’ll need to set up a property profile. This captures the basics—like address, year built, and square footage—and gives you a foundation to build everything else on.

Create Your Property Profile

Step 1: Create a Property

Why it matters:
Before you can organize anything, you need a “home” for your home!
Your property profile captures key info like address, value, and ownership.

What you’ll do:
✔️ Enter basic property details (address, year built, square footage)
✔️ Upload a cover photo of your home

Benefit:
✅ You’re setting the foundation that everything else will connect to, such as rooms, assets, and documentation.

Step 2: Add Spaces

After creating your property, you’ll be prompted to add “Spaces” — such as bedrooms, living areas, or garages. These serve as containers for assets and tasks.

Why it matters:
It’s way easier to track your belongings when everything is neatly sorted by room.

What you’ll do:
✔️ Create “Spaces” like Kitchen, Living Room, Bedrooms, Garage, etc.
✔️ Each space will later hold its own inventory of items.

Benefit:
✅ You’ll have a clean, organized structure that makes insurance claims, renovations, and upgrades effortless.

Step 3: Upload Property-Specific Documents

Why it matters:
Documents like deeds, appraisals, and HOA agreements belong to the whole property — not just a single room.

What you’ll do:
✔️ Upload important documents that apply to your entire property (deed, insurance policies, HOA rules)
✔️ Keep everything securely backed up and easy to retrieve.

Benefit:
✅ You’ll have all your major paperwork ready at your fingertips — no more digging through filing cabinets!
